National BBQ Week
It's Barbi time again!
So go Gastro Alfresco this summer and become a real Gastro Griller!
Now that summer is just about to arrive and the long-range forecast promises that it's going to be a real scorcher from mid June to end August with temperatures as high as the early 30's; it's time to bring out the Barbi, stock up your fridge and enjoy some chillin 'n' grillin to celebrate Ireland's 3rd National BBQ Week which kicks off on Monday June 4th - June 10th. BBQ's have now become fun, funky and fashionable and what's more, they've also become much more upmarket with this year's theme being Gastro Alfresco!

 There's even a frustratingly addictive BBQ computer game 'Beat the Barbi Brat' to really test how great you really are on the grill! The aim of the 3rd National BBQ - Gastro Alfresco '07 promotion, which runs throughout the summer, is to once again increase the popularity of BBQ'ing in Ireland and encourage Summer gastro alfresco eating and entertaining. In 2006, the average number of BBQ''s held was estimated to be around 4.5 per household, with over 320,000 households reaching for the Barbi. There's no question that BBQi'ng is an exciting, relaxing and yes healthy way to cook, and budding Barbi Chefs across the country will be cooking up a storm this summer.
